May is Preservation Month! Celebrate with the Austin Historical Survey Wiki Launch!

In honor of Historic Preservation Month, the City of Austin will launch a new website for sharing historic places called the Austin Historical Survey Wiki This groundbreaking inititative was developed by the University of Texas at Austin as is a living database that will become Austin's comprehensive inventory of historic places.

You can try the Wiki, before its official launch date at the end of May. You are invited to browse historic places and create a login to add more information.

The Wiki has information about places in two pilot areas, east of IH-35 and in the North University neighborhood. At launch, users will be able to locate Austin landmarks and add information for historic places citywide!
